Achin' Akers

David Akers, one of the better kickers in the NFC, took a hit on the kickoff after this second field goal that left him stumbling toward the Eagles' sideline. The replay shows that a Falcon play hit Akers in head with his shoulder while Akers was running down the field on the kickoff. It wasn't a dirty hit, but trainers are still working with Akers.

If the Falcons can make a game of this, the Eagles are going to want him back in the lineup. He's a career 83% field goal kicker who only missed five field goals all season (27-32). The Falcons are in Eagles territory, and there is still 15 minutes of football to play.
